CIV – Compagnia per l’Innovazione e per i Valori Srl aims to pursue people integral
development, seeking to achieve a Common Good as widespread as possible.
Mission
CIV – Compagnia per l’Innovazione e per i Valori Srl takes up the Common Good realisation challenge, through the understanding of capital multidimensionality.
Therefore, CIV is an economic entity that aims at producing social innovation by making economies (in plural) and presiding over capital markets. In this sense, for CIV, finance represents a tool and not the objective of its activities.
History
CIV was born in Milan in 2013 thanks to the combination of its founder substantial experience gained within leading international banking and financial institutions, and his commitment to promote responsible finance for both large assets and business’ owners and social innovation realities.
To support investments in different areas, CIV has organised its activities to offer its clients an articulated series of services and assistance. The aim is to cover, in a complementary and organic way, the investment needs and management of both monetary and intangible interest of the following areas:

- Strategic Investment Advisory;
- Corporate Finance;
- Corporate Governance;
- Innovation in Health and Welfare services;

Alessandro Nitti
Founder & Social Entrepreneur
Graduated in Banking, Finance and Insurance Sciences at the Italian Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano; Master’s Degree in Arbitrage Trading at the New York University.
He worked for over fifteen years in Italian and American banking institutions, moving between Vienna, Milan, London and New York, gaining experience in roles of increasing responsibility.
In September 2012 he left JPMorgan to devote himself to personal projects related to social entrepreneurship. Since then, he has been leading CIV – Compagnia per l’Innovazione e per i Valori in the realisation of an economic action that is not separated from the philosophical discourse.
Enrico Parretta
Board Member & General Manager
Graduated in Banking, Finance and Insurance Sciences at Universtià Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan; Master’s Degree in Financial Risk Management at Polytechnic of Milan.
After 25 year of experience, in Italy and abroad, in auditing/consultancy firms and in insurance groups, in 2021 he joined CIV as General Manager.
In addition, he’s visiting professor of “Insurance Company Management” at the Cattolica.
University and teaches at Post University Master. He’s author of “Controllo interno e
assicurazioni” (FrancoAngeli, 2007) e di “Strategia e Governance nel business
assicurativo” (Educatt, 2020).
Francesco Tam
Board Member & Head of Portfolio Advisory
Graduated in Economics at the University of Bologna; Master’s Degree in International Finance at the Consorzio Pavese degli Studi Post Universitari.
In 1997 he began his multi-year career in leading Italian banks where he specialised in Government bond trading and arbitrage, Fixed Income derivatives and credit structures.
In 2018 he joined CIV as Board Member and Head of Portfolio Advisory, since 2019 he has been a Certified Financial Consultant.
In addition, he is lecturer for the Faculty’s “Advanced Training Course in Mathematical Finance”.
